We are delighted to share with you an Impact Report of all the work done by The Hare’s Corner team and its partners in 2025:  The Hare’s Corner Impact Report   

In 2025 The Hare’s Corner was rolled out to 7 Local Authority areas: Co. Limerick, Galway City, Co. Galway, Co. Meath, Co. Sligo and Co. Offaly and Co. Carlow.

A total of 1,446 actions for nature were taken in the year including 313 Mini-Woodlands, 322 Wildife Hedges,  430 Heritage Orchards, 93 Wildlife Ponds and 141 Plans for Water and 147 Plans for Nature.  We are so grateful to all our participants who are restoring nature on their sites and creating much needed habitsts for Ireland’s wildlife.

The work in 2025 was made possible through partnership with Biodiversity officers in each of the Local Authority areas and our funders for 2025 : Local Biodiversity Action Fund supported by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, NTR PLC, Greencoat Renewables PLC, ESB, Aldi Stores Ltd., SSE Generation Green Community Fund and key support from Lifes2Good Foundation. The LocalAuthority Biodiversity Officer Programme is delivered in partnership with the Heritage Council
