We are pleased to announce that the Hare’s Corner programme won ‘Outstanding Nature Protector’ at the Powerscourt Working with Nature Awards. The awards were judged by Éanna Ní Lamhna, Duncan Stewart, and the head gardener at Powerscourt, Alex Slazenger.

A huge thanks to all the participants of Hare’s Corner. This project would not exist without their enthusiasm and hard work, and together they have created thousands of habitats for wildlife across Ireland.

We are grateful for the partnership with Heritage Council’s Biodiversity Officer Programme, which is enabling Biodiversity Officers in each of the counties to provide ground support for the initiative, as well as to the Life’s2Good Foundation for their key support.

The Hare’s Corner is funded through a combination of public and private sector funding including the National Parks and Wildlife Service’s Local Biodiversity Action Fund, along with SSE Generation Green Community Fund, NTR PLC, Greencoat Renewables PLC, and Intact Insurance.
