Provision of 50 or more native trees of 7-10 different species and guidance to help you create a new mini-woodland habitat on your land.

A visit to your site by a Hare’s Corner advisor in order to offer you simple, bespoke recommendations on what you can do to sustain and enhance biodiversity on your land.

Wildlife Hedge

Provision of up to 50 native trees of 5-6 different species suitable for planting at the edges of gardens or fields to provide wildlife with food, nest sites, shelter and important corridors for moving through the landscape.

Can I apply?

Application link will be available on this website when the next round of  applications is open.

Please check your eligibility before applying. To be eligible you must:

  1. Own the land or have permission to carry out works on the said land (e.g if you are applying on behalf of a school or community group) in any of the counties that applications are open for.
  2. Not apply for actions which fall in designated areas, e.g. SAC, SPA or NHA. (If you are unsure, visit : NPWS Designations Viewer ) as we are trying to keep this hassle-free!
  3. Know that farmers who are ACRES or NPWS Farm Plan Scheme participants are currently not eligible to apply – we want to avoid double funding!
  4. Know that If selected to participate, you are giving the Hare’s Corner team permission to use anonymized data and images generated from your site for project reporting and promotional purposes.
  5. Know that the application link will ask you initially to sign up to submit.com – our application management platform.
  6. Know that if we are oversubscribed, then priority will be given to Burrenbeo Members. You can support our work by becoming a Member at burrenbeo.com
